Roy Nash (IT)

Co-Founder of P-U-R-A, authorized architect IT, GB


After graduating summa cum laude at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and studying at TU-Delft (Netherlands), he has been working for Italian, Dutch and English practises on a wide range of projects including the master plan of Milano fiori with Erick Van Egeraat Architects (NL) and the Barking Riverside development with Sheppard Robson (UK).

From 2010, after founding P-U-R-A together with Rene Dlesk, he has succeeded in several competitions, most recently in Europan11 with Synapcity, Sweden,(2nd prize) a masterplan proposal for a peripheral area in the south of Norkopping , in 2010 “AAA architetti cercasi”, Milan, (2nd prize) a design proposal for the new development of Cascina Merlata. Currently, based on this competition, he is leading the design of the residential tower n. 5 of the Villaggio Expo 2015 in Milan.

Holding a PhD in Architecture and Urban Design he tutors on various design courses and international workshops for the department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU) of the Politecnico of Milan.

His research on marginal urban and suburban tissues, on dismissed or abandoned infrastructures and urban voids, has been awarded for the “Premio Bergamo di architettura” and the project for the re-development of the waterfront in Piacenza.

Currently is Adjunct Professor in Architectural and Urban Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico of Milan.
