R E Nash

Roy Emiliano Nash (RIBA, ARB, OAM) is the founder and the design director of P-U-R-A and Adjunct Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the Politecnico di Milano. 
He is an Italian-British architect active in UK and in Italy with a wide experience in master plans, residential developments and affordable housing. 
After graduating summa cum laude (Politecnico di Milano IT) and studying at TU-Delft (NL), he earned a PhD with honours in Architecture and Urban Design with a dissertation pertaining to the urban regeneration of existing city fabrics and the adaptive reuse of obsolescent buildings. In more than 10 years of career he has been working in Italy, Netherlands and England. He took responsibility for large development schemes including the master plan of Milano Fiori with Erick Van Egeraat Architects (NL) and the Barking Riverside affordable housing scheme in London with Sheppard Robson (UK). He has won several international competitions and he is the design director of the “Residential building n.5” – EXPO Village (Milan) completed in 2015, a tower of 5200sqm belonging to the masterplan of Cascina Merlata, the biggest sustainable affordable housing project of Italy.
